Meet the Teachers
Christine Orlando
A jewelry designer and mother of two elementary school children, Christine is passionate about sharing her love of art and creating with others. Christine has been teaching children for as long as she can remember, “I love teaching all ages, every student is so different, the challenge is reaching all of them by helping to find their strengths and gain the confidence to express themselves through art.” As an art instructor at The Renaissance School in Charlottesville Virginia, Christine mentored several students to develop their portfolios for art school applications enabling some to receive full scholarships. At The Renaissance School, Christine developed the curriculum for and taught, Studio Art I, Studio Art II and Portfolio Prep class. Christine also taught Summer Camp for The Village School grades 6-8 in Charlottesville Virginia and lead many Art Workshops and Learning to Look classes in Elementary Schools in Virginia and CT.
Priscilla Perotti Igram
A local artist and Quinn, Noah and Dylan’s mom, Priscilla is very excited to share her love for the arts with children. Priscilla has worked with children in various capacities: from working as a Learning to Look teacher at Stratfield Elementary School, to leading 3,300 mile adventure travel tours across the United States on bicycles with high school students (90 miles a day!!). Priscilla was inspired by her grandmother, Esther Hepler Inglesby , a Philadelphia area WPA artist hired by the Roosevelt administration in the 1930’s following the Depression, and afterward painting portraits of pets, people and houses. Priscilla followed in her grandmother’s footsteps and her portraits hang in homes from Fairfield to Ireland.
